VR Freestyle Racing Game that’s Truly “Freestyle”

Throttle Powah VR is essentially a VR-based freestyle racing game. You can race and carry out freestyle maneuvers and jumps in VR incorporating the physical elements of sports such as skating, motocross and snowboard.

Unique Concept

You may have come across a lot of racing games, even within the VR realm. But they would probably not be anything like Throttle Powah. In fact, there is just no VR racing game that transforms a player into the actual vehicle. By achieving this, Throttle Powah pretty much exhibits how differently VR technology could be used.If you have not played VR games before, especially the racing types, you may find this game a bit difficult to get rolling with. It could even be a bit unsettling in the beginning. But once you cross those initial roadblocks, you should be fine and enjoying the game.

Open World Map

The game comes up with a large open world map that has quite a bit of ramps, tracks, crazy circuits and soccer arenas to show. Since the game is still in early development, certain elements and features are yet to completely unfold themselves. Texture and the 3D models, for instance, are still work in progress or placeholder. There is multiplayer gaming option too, thanks to the multiple servers in the different parts of the world. At the moment, there are three different servers – located in Europe, South America and North America. More servers would most likely happen in the future.

PROS

  • A truly unique racing game
